El largometraje The Revenant, del mexicano Alejandro González Iñárritu será la favorita a vencer en la próxima entrega de los premios Oscar de 2016.

Este jueves fue presentada la lista de nominados a los premios más importantes del cine, con la película protagonizada por Leonardo DiCaprio liderando con 12 nominaciones.

Esta película, filmada en gran parte en Alberta, Canadá, cuenta la historia verdadera de Hugh Glass y su aventura para sobrevivir. También podría significar el primer Oscar como Mejor Actor para DiCaprio.

El remake Mad Max: Fury Road consiguió 10 nominaciones, mientras que The Martian, de Ridley Scott, logró ser nombrado en siete categorías.

En la categoría de Película en Lengua Extranjera, la colombiana «El Abrazo de la Serpiente», de Ciro Guerra, será una de las nominadas.

Sicario, del canadiense Denis Villeneuve, recibió tres nominaciones, para mejor dirección de fotografía, mejor música y mejor edición.
